Our Mission
After years of building platforms and working with companies that were trying to build platforms, we came away frustrated with the state of platform engineering.
It takes months or years to get started, and 6-digit sums of money to get things in a good place.
It shouldn’t be this hard to run Kubernetes, a versatile platform that many companies would benefit from adopting.
We want to make managing AWS/Kubernetes platforms a breeze, allowing companies, small or large, to focus on building their businesses,
shipping their products, and keeping their customers and engineers happy. We want to help streamline the processes, adopt industry-leading,
robust tools, and make your systems reliable, scalable, and secure.
Reduce the ongoing costs, remove platform rot, and keep things patched and secure without a dedicated team and continuous expenses.
Our Role
We are partners in managing the success of your platform, and ultimately, your business. We’ll get just as involved as you’d like us to.
We can be completely hands-off, or we can join your PagerDuty rotation. We built a tool that helps you build and manage a Kubernetes based platform for you
Our Values
- Focus on customer success and developer happiness.
- Make it easy for customers to use the product, and just as easy to stop using the product. No vendor lock-in, ever.
- Work with customers to continuously improve the product and encompass more and more of common needs into the product
- Transparent pricing. Never charge a customer for anything they didn’t explicitly agree to
- If customers ask for it, get integrated deeply into helping them build and manage a platform successfully,
including doing things like getting into their OnCall/PagerDuty rotations
We are democratizing platform engineering
Our team has been building software for decades and cloud-native environments since the early days of orchestration tools.
We’ve seen companies run out of money, lose customers and lose their entire teams because of badly designed, unstable platforms.
Spending millions of dollars and months or years getting nowhere. We came to realize that as more and more companies move to
the cloud, there is a need for “one-click” solutions that don’t require learning all of the cloud-native tools and AWS.
Most companies need a similar set of tools for their base platform. This common part is what notops solves, while making it easy to augment the base with any components that companies might need.
NotOps was born out of this belief that it shouldn’t take months and years of struggling to get a production-grade platform
running, and there shouldn’t be an ongoing high-cost to keeping the platform patched and upgraded.
